The 914's Annual Awards for the best in northern Westchester sensory inputs

The Burby awards seek to recognize and reward The 914’s favorite creations, experiences, businesses, locations, etc., from across northern Westchester County, New York. To nominate something or somebody for a Burby, please write the name and contact info of the nominee on a coaster at The Tapsmith, the Burby-winning beer pub on Main Street in Croton, and leave it with a member of the staff.

Winners to date include—

The Tapsmith, Croton. (pub category) The best beer selection west of the Saw Mill and south of Lake Mohegan. Has fine conversation, wine, pizza, and other snacks, too.

“The Invisible Manchild” by E.R. Forney of Harmon. (fiction category) A Chappaqua family allows an adult child to pretend he can’t be seen at dinner parties.
